Abt Sportsline
German firm Abt Sportsline is situated in Kempten am Allgäu and specializes in vehicle tuning and racing. ABT primarily works on Audi and the principal Volkswagen Group brands that are connected to it—Volkswagen, koda, and SEAT—modifying them with sports-type suspensions, engine enhancements, lightweight wheels, aerodynamic components, and other things. It has been operating in DTM for over ten years. The brothers Hans-Jürgen Abt (born 1962, Managing Director) and Christian Abt took over running the firm with 170 workers after the passing of their father Johann in 2003. Hans-Jürgen Abt has been the company's manager since 2011.
Johann Abt (20 December 1935 – 11 October 2003) competed in motorcycle and Hillclimb races for the Abarth factory team up to 1970, carrying on a family legacy of horseshoeing with automobiles. Hans-Jürgen Abt and Christian Abt are his children. Later, he entered the auto industry with his own team and won several series, including the "Trophée de l'Avenir." In 1896, Johann Abt's father established the first Abt business.
Following "Auto-Abt," Abt Sportsline GmbH was established in 1991. The headquarters initially provided roughly 3,500 square meters (38,000 sq ft) of area before moving to Daimlerstrasse in Kempten-Leubas. A building addition giving an additional 3,000 square meters (32,000 square feet) of workspace was inaugurated in October 2002.
Abt celebrated their 115th anniversary since the company's founding in 1896 in the summer of 2011. The company's Kempten, Germany, headquarters employs about 170 people, and its goods are sold in more than 50 other nations. Daniel Abt's Abt Lifestyle GmbH has been organizing events since 2011 for both personal and professional clients.
