Spirra

Oullim Motors, an Oullim Networks company, produces the sports automobile known as the Oullim Spirra. While the production site is situated in Kyunggi-do province, close to Seoul, the company's headquarters are in Yangjae-dong in the city's center. Former Ssangyong Motors designer Han-chul Kim and Dong-hyuk Park, the CEO and creator of Oullim Networks, co-founded Oullim Motors in 2007.

The Spirra was manufactured from 2008 to 2017, and it was sold in a number of nations, including China, Malaysia, the Netherlands, Malaysia, and the United Arab Emirates.

Han-chul Kim, a designer at SsangYong Motors in the middle of the 1990s, had the original idea for a Korean exotic sports vehicle. After forming a concrete vision, Kim left Ssangyong Motors to continue working on his sports vehicle project and co-founded Proto Motors with his wife, a researcher at Asia Motors.

As a result of Kim's chance encounter with Dong-hyuk Park, a passionate auto fan and prosperous IT entrepreneur, the Spirra's manufacture became viable. Oullim Networks Inc., a business focusing in online securities, was founded by Park. He also established Oullim Motors, a division of the Oullim conglomerate that focuses on the creation of innovative motor vehicles. Kim was appointed chief of development when Oullim Motors purchased Proto Motors in 2007, and under new leadership the Spirra project was revived after five years of inactivity.

Han-chul Kim and Ji-sun Choi, a married couple, founded Proto Motors in 1997. The business has alliances with GM Daewoo, Kia Motors, and Hyundai Motor Company. For Cheongwadae (the Equus), the South Korean presidential mansion, the business created a convertible limousine specifically for them in 2001.

During the fourth Seoul Motor Show, Proto Motors unveiled the Spirra, a manufacturing version of the PS-ll. The Spirra's development was continued after Proto Motors was bought by Oullim Motors in 2006[1], and in 2010 Proto Motors unveiled the first supercar produced in Korea. The Oullim Motors Spirra EV, the Spirra's electric variant, was unveiled in 2014.

At the moment, the firm focuses on reworking current models by building electric vehicles or convertibles on top of them. 2017 saw the company's closure.
