The British firm Bentley Motors Limited creates, develops, and produces high-end, mostly hand-built automobiles. It is a Volkswagen AG subsidiary. Bentley Motors Limited was established by W. O. Bentley on January 18, 1919 in Cricklewood, North London, and is now headquartered in Crewe, England.

Between 1956 and 1960, Berkeley Cars Ltd. of Biggleswade, Bedfordshire, England developed affordable sporty microcars with front-wheel drive and motorcycle-derived engines ranging in size from 322 cc to 692 cc.

The French company Berliet was situated in Vénissieux, a town west of Lyon, and produced a variety of vehicles, including military vehicles, buses, lorries, and automobiles. It was established in 1899, and with the exception of the five years from 1944 to 1949 when it was placed under "administration sequestre," it remained privately owned until 1967, when it joined Citroen. Renault later acquired it in 1974, and in 1978 it merged with Saviem to form the new Renault Trucks company. By 1980, the Berliet brand had all but disappeared.

Giovanni Bertone established Bertone, a renowned Italian coachbuilding and designing firm, in 1912. Some of the most renowned automobiles ever have recognizable Bertone style elements. Carl F. W. Borgward created the old Borgward automotive manufacturing firm, which had its headquarters in Bremen, Germany (1890–1963). It produced automobiles under the Borgward, Hansa, Goliath, and Lloyd brands, which were marketed to a wide range of worldwide customers. In the 1950s, Borgward's Isabella was one of the most well-liked German luxury models, and many working-class drivers could afford to drive Lloyd's Alexander/Lloyd 600 model. In 1961, the organization stopped operating as a result of contentious insolvency procedures.
