Finding motivation for an essay

These past few days I’ve been trying to motivate myself to finish an essay for a short certification program, but every attempt ends with me scrolling on my phone instead of writing. Not sure if it’s burnout or just a lack of direction. Does anyone else deal with this weird cycle of starting strong and then losing momentum halfway?

During my last semester I had the same problem, especially when deadlines piled up. What helped was reading real users’ experiences on how they handled stress and organized their drafts. I came across a Masterpapers Overview, and although I wasn’t looking for services, the way people described outlining, pacing themselves, and reworking messy drafts gave me a few ideas. I started setting tiny checkpoints instead of writing big chunks, and the whole thing became less overwhelming.
