Historical Journey ARO's journey began during World War II when the first factory in Câmpulung was built under the orders of Marshal Ion Antonescu in 1942. Initially intended to produce airscrews for the Romanian aircraft manufacturer IAR, the factory transitioned to manufacturing off-road vehicles after the war. The first ARO vehicle, the IMS-57, rolled off the production line in 1957, marking the birth of a legendary brand.

Iconic Models ARO's lineup included several iconic models that left a lasting impact on the automotive industry:

IMS Series: The IMS-57, followed by the M59 and M461, were early models that established ARO's reputation for durability and performance.

24 Series: Launched in 1972, the 24 Series featured a ground-up redesign and included various models and configurations.
