Rund 23.000 Menschen arbeiten dort. Das Unternehmen produziert Busfahrgestelle, Achsen für schwere Lkw sowie mittelschwere und schwere Lkw (beide unter der Marke Shacman). Dabei nutzt es Technologie von MAN SE und Magna Steyr. Die Busfahrgestelle werden unter der Marke Eurostar Bus vermarktet.

Um Lkw und Zugmaschinen im Inland zu produzieren, gründete die Shaanxi Automobile Group Co. Ltd. ein Joint Venture mit Rawal Industrial Equipment (Pvt) Ltd. aus Pakistan.
