Mercedes-AMG

AMG was once a stand-alone engineering company that concentrated on enhancing the performance of Mercedes-Benz automobiles. In 1999, DaimlerChrysler AG acquired a majority stake in AMG, and in 2005, it became the sole owner. Mercedes-Benz AG, which is controlled by the Mercedes-Benz Group, now owns Mercedes-AMG GmbH in its whole.
Compared to their standard Mercedes-Benz counterparts, AMG cars often have more aggressive styling, superior performance, handling, and stability, as well as more carbon fiber. In each Mercedes-Benz class, AMG cars are often the priciest and best-performing versions.

When compared to standard Mercedes-Benz automobiles, AMG models often feature two numbers instead of three (e.g., "E 63" as opposed to "E 350"). [4] The numerals honor prior heritage vehicles like the 300 SEL 6.3 liter but do not always denote engine capacity. For instance, later AMG V8 models like the E 63 really have 4.0L V8s.

In 2018, Sydney, Australia's AMG Sydney became the first standalone Mercedes-AMG dealership in the globe.
