Cizeta

The initials of co-founder Claudio Zampolli are pronounced "Cizeta" in Italian (C.Z.). Moroder got interested in the project when he brought his Lamborghini Countach to Zampolli's workshop for maintenance. Their sole offering, the Cizeta-Moroder V16T, had a technologically sophisticated sixteen-cylinder transverse engine. The body, which was designed by Marcello Gandini, was quite close to that of the later Lamborghini Diablo since Gandini initially presented the idea to the then-Chrysler-owned Lamborghini, who dramatically changed the concept. The initial Diablo design was then delivered to Cizeta by Gandini. Giorgio Moroder withdrew from the Cizeta project in 1990, therefore only the prototype could be identified as a "Cizeta-Moroder" vehicle. Giorgio Moroder had the prototype for more than thirty years until selling it in early 2022.

V16T Cizeta-Moroder
No creation Never was Cizeta badged as "Cizeta-Moroder," just as "Cizeta V16T." Before the company was shut down in 1994, just 8 automobiles were produced. In 1999 and 2003, three further vehicles—two more coupes and one spyder—were finished.
