Weltmeister

A battery electric vehicle (BEV) manufacturer with its headquarters in Shanghai, WM Motor Technology Co Ltd., owns the Weltmeister (Chinese: ) electric car brand. The 2018 Isdera Commendatore GT, which was introduced at the 2018 Beijing Motor Show, is the first vehicle built as a consequence of the relationship between Weltmeister and German specialist manufacturer and design service provider Isdera, which was established in 2017.
During the Beijing Motor Show in May 2018, it introduced its first production vehicle, the EX5, with deliveries beginning in September 2018. Chinese technology firms Tencent and Baidu are among the investors in WM. Weltmeister cars are built at WM Motor's self owned and run production plant in Wenzhou, Zhejiang Province, which has an annual capacity of 100,000 units. WM Motor also maintains R&D centers in China, Germany and the USA.

During the 2019 Guangzhou Auto Show, WM Motor is anticipated to debut its next pure electric SUV model, the EX6, followed by a new 7-Series sedan at Auto China in April 2020.
German for "world champion" is Weltmeister.

Weltmeister

Freeman Shen, a former executive of Geely and later the Chairman of Volvo's Chinese business, created WM Motor in January 2015. Freeman co-founded and served as CEO of the Pateo Group, a renowned automotive connection and telematics business, before joining WM.
In November 2016, the business begun building of its first factory in Wenzhou, Zhejiang Province. The plant has started mass-producing the company's first car model, the EX5, since 28 September 2018.
In order to create all varieties of passenger NEVs, WM Motor bought Polarsun Automobile (Chinese: ), a registered producer of passenger cars in China, in August 2017.

The firm started building its second manufacturing plant in Huanggang, Hubei Province, in January 2018.
