Qoros
The term "qoros" is a creation. The Q is meant to stand for quality, and the entire name is meant to evoke the Greek chorus, a group that sings together in plays and music to symbolize the company's global reach.
Shanghai, China served as the home base for the Chinese automobile manufacturer Qoros Auto Co., Ltd. Designing, creating, producing, and selling passenger automobiles with the Qoros brand was its main business.
Chery Quantum Automotive Corporation (CQAC) was established in December 2007 as a joint venture between Chery and Israel Corporation. In November 2011, the company changed its name to Qoros Auto Co., Ltd. Baoneng Group acquired a 51 percent share in Qoros for 6.6 billion RMB in December 2017.
The Qoros 3, the first production model, debuted in front of the general public at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2013 and went on sale in China in November of the same year.
