Landwind

Jiangling Motor Holding (JMH), a joint venture comprising Jiangxi Guokong Automotive Investment Corporation (50%), Jiangling Motors Corporation Group (25%), and Changan Automobile (25%), is the owner of the car brand Landwind.

Landwind

Jiangling Lufeng (Landwind) Automobile Co., Ltd. was founded in 1998 by Sun Min, the then-chairman of JMCG, and is where Landwind got its start. His goal was to establish a separate nameplate in order to advance JMCG's technological capabilities and lessen its reliance on Ford and Isuzu. Although Lufeng will design the vehicles, Isuzu's production lines would be used for their manufacture. Ford opposed the project, which led to its final cancellation. By 2002, Landwinds were available for purchase, and Jiangling Motor Holding reintroduced the brand in November 2004.
In November 2012, the Landwind X5 made its premiere at the Guangzhou Auto Show.
